Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. It is designed to offer fun and challenging activities to promote character, development , citizenship and physical fitness for boys who are in the first though fifth grade, or ages 7-10. Cub Scouts join a Pack and are assigned to a den, of usually 6-10 boys of the same age. Apart from the fun and excitement of Scouting, the aim of Cub Scouting is to help boys grow into good citizens who are strong in character and personally fit. Cub Scouting is fun, with a purpose.
The Scout Law
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
And to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.
